Black Berries

Do I fit your sterotype?

Like a devil in a blue dress?

Like a strapless bakini top so small that it binds it binds your breast?

Or like how tight I ball up my fingers into a fist to fight back on the black metaphorical dilemma?

My ancestory's were whipped, shipped, and sold at an auction like a worthless piece of shit.

Auctioneer shouting and bidders biding nothing over 95 cent.

Worthless they were, but now seeking value.

They say the only reason why Dr. King had a dream is because nigga's are so damn lazy all they do is sleep and it could possibly be true.

Because why didn't it happen then but some odd years later.

When King's dream so call became reality.

A post racial society where discrimination and subjugation no longer apply to me.

People cried vigorously for the bitter sweet victory, as if biting into the berries of life.

Ignoring the fact that Obama aint just black but he's also white.

How can you execpt the differences and still see us as equal?

Your oxymorons are so contradictive.

Your berries are no longer bitter and no longer sweet, but black because in life black berries you'll pick less likely.

It is because they stand out and are rich in flavor.

It is because black was never intended to succeed.

So they belittle and down talk that black berry like they down talk me.

Changing topics from racism to classicism to justify their ignorance.

To base a sterotype around me and use me as evidance, bitch please, I'm no one's case study.

I don't lay on my ass pondering, just having dreams.

And no I don't only eat corn bread and collard greens.

I am not team dark skin, team light skin, team carmel tone, team red bone.

I am not race and I am not class.

I am a long fought history and not just for black's, but for everybody.

I am American because I choose to be

Because a black berry is just as sweet as any other berry that grows on a leaf.

And these educated people who create racial slurrs are so smart they don't think.

The mind  is a terrible thing to waste because their sterotypes and statistics don't apply to this BLACK BERRY!!!!
