Black & Blues

Nigga...why are you lying

Like

I don’t ask questions I already know the answer to

And you speaking in a tone I know I didn’t teach you

You always have shit to say

Well keep your 2 cents and use it as bus-fare

To get the fuck outta here

Because I am not having it today

Why are you talking like I don’t hold the hinges of your smile

Like being wrapped up with me isn’t poetry

Like you don’t love the taste of my bittersweet

I love you as much as you hurt me

My love, like these scars, keep cutting deeper

And I’m all in for the injury

Truth is, I prayed for you before we met

So every touch is God-blessed

Every bruise heaven sent

Love me black & blue

Because if God herself ordained it

Then you have to
