black defiance

I am defiance, this is resistance

The brain of the oppressed on these lines makes for the peoples perfect crime

to defy is to challenge the power, to resist boldly

I will not be told I come from apes, monkey's, and animal related things

I come from a people of queens, and kings

my culture is rich in bravery even through our slavery

with these words I attempt to "give us, us free" like cinque

I am the truth through our opressors fog of lies

I am defiance, this is the resistance
