Black Dove

From Bottle to Lip, then down deep inside

Breathing in and out, the smoke takes his mind

She that he loves was along for the ride

It upset her much, her gears start to grind

Such a simple girl with one broken heart

Fell for a boy she thought she could tame

She knew this was when the change had to start

The drugs started to call out for his name

He doesn't realize they are losing him

The doctors say he has limited days

She holds it together from deep within

The nurse tries to tell her, he'll be okay

From moments of weakness flew the black dove

But fate whispers to them "this is true love"
