Black Dove

I came to this world looking different than the others

My mom always told me it would be easier to get in trouble

We dont look alike, but we call eachother brothers

You say that one world just because my skin color

My whole life has been driven by success,

Yet its hard to continue because im an emotional wreck

I use football as a way to relieve all of my strss

While my mind has me spinning like a catastrophic event

Ive always been told to look to the future,

That god gave me something to get out of here

People told me I need to grow and be mature

That i should stop looking out glasses that we all label fear

I begin using the glasses to look up

Realizing that this town gave me no lofe

I could get in trouble if they are holding a cup

Its hard to shine bright because Im like a black dove

You see its cool to be one of a kind

I hear that unique is not a crime

Yet when you look I am not hard to find

I feel like Im choking and being strangled by time...
