-To the black girls who want lighter skin so they can be pretty, to the black girls who hate the size of their lips, to the black girls who are learning to hate themselves before they even gave themselves a chance... I see you. -To the black girls who never see themselves on tv or in magazines, to the black girls staying in the shade because they're "black enough", to the black girls who got bullied by black boys... I feel you. -To the black girls who doesn't believe it when she gets told she's beautiful, to the black girls who are always the punchline to the joke, to the black girls who are admiring white girls who paid to have their natural features... I believe in you. -To all the black girls who are struggling to realize that they matter in a world that is constantly tearing them down... I stand with you. The journey to self love is a long one but it's definitely worth it
