Black Ice Cream
What's my drive?
Where do I turn?
How do I stay on the road of insight, inventiveness, and individuality
When so many exits aspire to lead me away from my destination?
Remember.
That I Am The Black Ice Cream.
Barely regular.
Barely default.
The opposite of the lovely default?
The creamy, rich, silky vanilla?
BLACK.
So then I am my own drive.
I am my own, unique GPS.
Why?
Well, I'm everything.
The strange, oddly satisfying, good.
A little bit of this, a little bit of that.
Mix all the colors of the rainbow and you get
BLACK.
Remember that I'm exhilarating, stimulating, and persuading myself daily to be me.
I am cute, but at the same time what's there to look at?
I'm not a model, but yet, still a masterpiece.
I sashay, but not for a crowd.
I’m different, like black ice cream.
I know that I'm weird, mysterious. and breathtaking.
This black ice cream is so unusual and mesmerizing in ways one cannot express.
You can’t forget it because of its differences.
Different from chocolate, sherbet, rocky road, mint chocolate chip.
I may not be dazzling at first because the treat may look intimidating or unappealing.
But you won’t find me anywhere else.
The black ice cream is unknown to some people.
But is extraordinary and catches a surprise when heard of.
Like me.
So yes.
I'm a boss and this boss puts her hands on the steering wheel, and keeps on driving despite the crashes.
