Black Knight

For in a land so far away

There lived a  brave young knight.

Learned is he in the art of

War, and he was quite bright.

This man, Sir Dwight, was called black knight

For his armor was dark.

His horse was called  Equum Bellum*

He had a true hash mark.

While  riding by the Saxon Castle

He was called by Sir A.

He had a tale for him to hear

Of a girl locked away.

Princess Abella of Iz by name

And she was fare and true.

Mrs. Thomas  the witch has locked her up.

She wished a knight to pursue.

He based his chase on haste not waste

And on his way he went.

His mind was steady his sword was ready

For the challenge segment.

Unknown to him  the  Guardian

A thesaurus  attacked.

A battle, a fight, a vehement strike

The beast was slain in fact.

The black knight rises to ascend the tower

Atop it held Abella.

His prize was won his worries were none

She was made his marita**.

*Latin for war horse

**Latin for wife
