A Black Rose..

A black rose sits on her vanity in a clear red vase. She looks in the mirror as black tears fall down her pale face. The black rose was a symbol of her past, present, and future. She Tries to wipe away the mascara that was running down her pale face. Next to the rose is the letter it came with you slowly open the letter that he gave you. It was full of sorrow, broken hearts, and black covered tears. The love that was once in it is now long gone. Her tears become dry with the black rose. The letter is left open on the floor in her hand as she lays there lifeless and gone.

My name is a Kayla. I am an active duty military police stationed on the East Coast. I transfered to Eastern Connecticut State Univerisity and will start full time this fall 2014. I am very excited to be a part of a great school. My major will be social work. I am a photographer, a poet, and an artist. There is nothing more amazing than being creative. The power of poetry and art can be very moving and gives you chills. I grew up on a farm and love the beauty of nature. I'm an advocate for Non-Gmo and organic foods.
