Black Rose

Roses are black just like your heart.
I gave you my mind and now you're tearing my apart
I gave you my soul in hopes of setting you free but now that you've gained your freedom, you've turned on me.

My heart's been broken into pieces of so many.
Wondering what happened to our days that were once so merry.
You spent your days wondering through the darkness, drowning alone in the lake of uncertainness.

The sorrowful tears that flowed down your face you stumbled, lost, trying to find a way out of that place.
Your broken spirit called to me, your heart exclaimed,
"Set me free!"

Alone in the darkness we sat together.
Being soaked by the tempestuous weather.
Alone and frightened I sat by your side
Now that you're done with me, you’ve pushed me aside.

Through the night I held you close
Learning things about you that only we could know.
I made you my everything, I gave you everything, I didn't ask for anything, Now I'm left with nothing.

I was there for you I loved you.
And look what we've been through, Look at what you've put me through.

Black roses are like your heart.
Black roses have torn me apart.
