Black Rose - Inspiration

Be my black rose

My precious, exquisite, elegant rose

Be mine.

Clothe me with your black shield from the forces of the world.

Cover me with thorns to fight back my enemies.

Build my stem to sustain me through the whirl winds of life.

Lay my foundation and let my roots grow deep so that I will not be shaken.

As the seasons pass, I might wither. I might become fraile.

But I will always remember that your presence was

Like the rising of the sun

Sweeping over me, caring for me, shining through me

And most of all, conforming me to be your beautiful, black rose.
