Black Screens

The Typing of keyboard keys

going on and on restless in the night.

The tears steaming down the faces of the future,

reading the future. The words on the screen

as they keep scrolling through and through

reading the words of anonymous people

Commnts of, "I hate you."

Slurs fill the air, as the screens fill with hatred

Blackened souls spill out onto the web

reading on we fill with dread

seeing words that cut so deep

like fire and ice underneath

our souls.

With every gash they harden up, every comment filled with hate

Affects us no more, as we turn inside

The hate spreads to us too

Spreading on the "I hate you's"

As the night goes on and on, we keep repeating the same old song

Reading our screens that are black and blue

Fillng the minds of our youth

With hatred.

Scene of violence on the news,

Sex and drugs and artist's muses

surround the picture on the screen,

along with imags of beauty queens

the scenes that we see change the minds

of the future leaders of our time

making and molding our young minds

leaving behind, for evermore,

the footprint.

Of the blackened screens

In Our Minds.
