black sheep

im different, & if you don't get it then get wit

i don't have time for hypocritin ad-libing "Fuck it".

go on and change the subject

i hope my name taste isgusting like school lunches

to you lame fuckahs!

ima -Black Sheep- I stand out in a crowd

dont judge me for how I used to be & please don't judge me now.

DAMN!

i feel like I couldnt be more specific

And even in the midst of all my downs I still stay uplifted

people call me weird but I just tell em all that I'm gifted

blessed for being different.

everytime i go to sleep I often have visions.

Of dreams that inspire me to get it.

Because im destined to win it.

no matter how great be the contenders.

i can do anything if I make sure to stay consistent

socially a misfit, so its hard for me to fit in

my swag wasn't trending my swag was just different

id call it unique but others would call it cheap.

cuz the sneaks on my feet looked like they been beat.

-A black sheep-

I went through some rebel phases and I hated every facist

That told me I couldn't make it.

But as the time flew my old days that were so blue

Rearanged I changed my ways and I ain't been the same..

Since.

Shit. Ive found my path to enlightenment

Learned to be myself now I got more folks liking me.

I used to be so shy ,never said hi plus I had fake friends

Who turned to my foes in the end.

But that's life showing me who's wrong and who's right.

I may be a -black sheep- but my futures so bright!

Be careful of venting emotions. If you read poems written by others on this site, you see that many "vent" poetry instead of write it. I suppose for the longest time we were taught that whatever crosses your mind is poetry, but reading other writers and reflecting hard: is this really the case? Did you take time to revise and rewrite your poem? How much time did you spent on your piece? Perhaps the path to "enlightenment" is knowing you cannot get yourself there and that we can never reach enlightenment (maybe brief visions). Continue to experiment and write with both heart and mind. Q.V.
