Black Sketchbook

The black sketchbook she carries

is filled with more than just art.

It's filled with the emotions she buries,

and the struggles she goes through as her heart is torn apart.

One day her talent will thrive.

One day she'll be just fine.

But now, now this keeps her alive

better than any of the drugs she's tried
