We hear parents say that they want the best for you

Yet they hold us to a high standard and don’t want us to make any mistakes

Why is that actually?

Well you see they want you to be the perfect human being

But who is really perfect anymore

We as kids do things behind their backs so we appear as their little angels

But the question is are we?

We make mistakes or rather regret certain things, but they won’t know

Because we are their little angels right

We keep secrets just like them but still get penalized for making bad choices

Us kids don’t need parents in our ears telling us what is right and what is wrong

Because we are still going to do it since we are just their curious little angels

They never realize that we are making the same mistakes as them

Because they never ask how we are doing

They just want us to voice it

But then again if we voice it then we are weak

And if we cry in a closed room then we are depressed

So what do they really mean by being their little angels?

When we are afraid to speak our minds deeply to the point that they understand us
