The Blade That Saved My Soul

The flash as it glints in the light

The sting as it breaks the surface

Hot and crisp, at the same time.

Across the surface

A spider web of crimson,

A rosebush of life From within

All that hate

All that hurt

Sliding away with every movement

Every instant of physical pain

The calm after the storm

The perfect release of anguish

All the pain is magnetic,

Attracted to the blade

Pulled away from a soul in need of a savior
