Blame

To the Evil Queen (Normally Found in Fairy-tales),

I blame you for instilling

Fear, Self-loathe, and Inescapable Madness,

In a beautiful, capable soul -

What gives you the right to attack

With your wretched, twisted hands

Filled with poisoned truths that she now accepts

As the only truth.

I blame you for disfiguring her reality

Into a pessamistic slew of thoughts and ideals,

And she now sees the world through

Distorted images as if she peered

Through a cracked magnifying glass.

I blame you for destroying her mind,

Injecting the toxins of fear, distrust, and anger

Into her bloodstream,

Creating, incurable, perpetual darkness

In which she can only follow your

Booming, threatening, malicious words

Over her own,

Pulling her against her will -

As if you led her by a tightened noose

And you don't believe her when she says she is

Dying.

And when you see me,

How dare you.

How dare you grit your teeth

And act as if my precense is wanted

When you loathe "my kind"

Because of your own insecurities

Rooted in personal trauma

Which, by the way,

Does not give you any right

To treat another human as badly

As you do.

I hope desperately

One day, your eyes will be pried open,

And you will see the damage you've inflicted.

I hope desperately

That you are never able to forgive yourself

That this haunts you and nags you every day and night

As it has done to me, a mere witness -

And done more to her,

A byproduct of your depraved thoughts and actions.

For I hope that we are living a fairytale,

And the evil queen will be defeated

Without hesitation and without mercy.

Yours Truly,

"The Distration"
