Blame Me

It's easy to say

If it was me I would...

Advice rolls off my tongue,

Never mind if it should.

But when the tables are turned,

I roll my eyes and wait

Don't care to listen

Because I can't change my fate

It's easy to blame

Everyone but me

For my past actions

I'm so blind I can't see

What's done is gone

Yeah, it should live on

But it belongs in my memory

Not in my reality

So from this point forth, consciously

I have to make a choice, decisively

To let what he or she did to me, unthinkingly

Not bother me again, I'm free.

I'm me.

I will rule my world

Contested but supreme

I decide who I will be

Not you, not her, not anybody.

If I don't like me at the end of the day

There's no one but myself to blame.
