Blank Canvas
I indulge in you. You are my delicacy. I yearn of sunsets and melted ice cream cones with you. I yearn for candy bars which were meant to be shared. I yearn for joy rides through the changing scenery. But as the scenery changes you join and follow the patterns of the wind. I first painted you with a broad stroke. Then later learned to take care of the crevices and learn where the still wet paint likes to seep into the grooves. I practice each day. The sights and the sounds entice my senses. I have yet to learn where my paintbrush will take me next, but I know you will always decide the color. You will always decide the foundation and you will always be the core. The core of molten emotion that radiates into me. The colors of reds and deep pinks settle into the fine lines of your eyes and lips. Deeps hues of blue find their place into an empty chest cavity and specs of yellow illuminate throughout. The yellow smiles of summertime find their way on to each pore of your skin whilst the blue hues of wintertime find comfort and warmth within. The reds and pinks of whole hearted infatuation flutter across me. The whites in your eyes take me back to the purest of my days and I can't help but realize together we are whole. The joyous smile I so delicately created comes alive as I walk through the door each day and the colors of your complexity dance with vibrancy. You were created by me and have been turned to man by my hand yet I find myself thanking you for the experience I had whilst the process filled my days. Your colors will never fade from my touch and soul. Each one you come across will feel your warmth. But no one will feel the immensely comforting heat that is shot my way. I loved created my masterpiece and the favor was returned.
