Blank Computer Screen

A computer screen blinking back
at a blank face and a blank night
flashes of tragedies within an instant
and it doesn't scare you like it should
I sit a few houses down, falling to pieces
my computer screen blinks back
and I cry the world's tears onto the keys
you soak up the blood with your eyes
and yet nothing falls from them
the pain filters into your skin
and doesn't leave a bruise
here I sit, falling to the ground
aching with pain and wanting
it to go away
and for you, it was never
really even here
it wasn't your problem
just another story
clicked away as quickly
as it appeared in front of your face
but not in your mind.
