A Blank Page

The chaos inside me churns-

the noise, the pain, the frustration.

A blank page, a sharpened pencil

are so enticing.

The words flow from my mind,

spill on to the paper.

Rough around the edges,

but mine just the same.

I write until my mind is as blank

as the paper before I pierced it.
