Blankly She Stares
Blankly, she stares ahead
Around her, voices compile into chaos
Can they not hear the screams
That echo in her lungs?
The cries that beg for the chains to break
Loneliness and misery sewn into every vein
Does her heart even beat anymore?
No
Rather it sighs
How can something that requires love
Continue with anguish guarding its chambers?
