Blasian
"So, you wanna be black and asain, but wasn't born into it?"
"You're not one of us. You have no experience you're a fraud!"
They say...
They say this to my face...at least that's what I think they'll say if I ever say this to them.
Hi I'm Ken. I'm black and asian.
They look at me and ask, "Oh really where are you from?"
With raised eyebrows they look. So I look back and say...
Listen. It doesn't matter where I'm from, the color of my skin, or the language I speak. What matters is what I believe in and stay true to. I identify as both so why should I have to prove it? There is no such thing as proof of your "race".
The thing we call race is just a figment of our imagination. Something to occupy the mind and put people in their place, in a box so we won't get lost. Well, those boxes don't exsit. It's all just a mind game!
This game we play the rules are so twisted that it's hard to try to bend it into the shape it should be. And when someone tries, people freak out and try to bend us to match the shape of the rules we follow. I'm one of those who were bent out of shape, but now slowly I'm bending myself to how I should've been.
They smile in agreement and welcome me into their goup. I happily follow...
At least that's what's playing in my mind.
I just look and walk away. There's no use in presenting proof that doesn't exsit.
Only those who know this secret and those who weren't bent out of shape by society will understand.
They will understand that I'm Blasian. That's it.
