Bleeding Love

Bleeding Love

You bleed, so I can stand tall,

You hurt, so I can overpower them all,

You cry, so I never have to,

I pray, that I never lose you.

You are my heart, as the days go by,

I am deathly afraid that you will cry,

I never want to hurt you,

But sometimes my emotions overcome me and I just... do.

I love you, I love you, you've scorned my heart,

If we every have to say goodbye, I'd be torn apart,

You've shown me the person I aspire to be,

Please God, don't ever let her leave me.

Mom, you are my biggest blessing in this life,

You won't read this poem, but I never mean to cause you strife,

You are the best mother and father I could ever ask for,

I am just so sorry that I can never do more.
