Bleeding Roots

A flower unjustly torn out of the earth,

my roots are bleeding everywhere.

Part of me is still left in the ground

from where I was plucked.

I was just beginning to spread my roots,

just making myself at home.

I'm bleeding.

My roots, my connections to the Earth are severed.

Take me back home.
