Blended
Think about the possibilities!
Excitement in the air!
We're blended…
A new family…
Anxiety high
Moral low
But my faked smile will never tell
I'm trying for him
He's finally happy
But this new family makes me
Uneasy…
I'm number one
His number one girl
And his number one daughter
Frankly, I feel like number two
Take that any way you like
It's probably true
Because I'm now coming after her
She needs this
And that
But hey, the possibilities!
The family builds
But this number one feels
Left out
Or an unsteady block in this tower
Some how an engagement arises
From the ashes of the last marriage
Almost like a Phoenix but with a broken wing
It's catching up to us now
Reluctant as ever…
Yet, still hurt when I'm alone
And stuck as number two
