Blessed Calvary, Sweet Calvary
Lord, help me to never forget Calvary,
For it is there I was found and given sweet Liberty!
Oh Calvary, Sweet Calvary!,
A place so wretched, a place so free,
It was there my Savior died,
And purchased Victory!,
Rising on the third day,
Oh, come what may,
Jesus, has set all mankind free!
All, who puts their trust in the King!
The King of all Kings,
Rules and Reigns Supreme,
And ushers you and me,
Into sweet and smooth paths,
Even as we live in hope that he earned,
So painfully bearing wounds, flesh dugged out,
So we could live AGAIN, Eternally,
Not in flesh, but in SPIRIT!
This is the Lord Jesus Christ, he who
Is always busy, praying for the Father's Best
For us, so that we may never forget,
The joys of Calvary!
Calvary has, and will forever more be,
A place of woe and a place of heightened
Ecstasy, in the Holy of Holies.
Flowing from our Blessed Savior,
Alive, very much alive, yes today, is he!!
