Blessing in disguise
Dear my beloved grandmother,
You were the most influential person in my life,
However you are no longer with us.
It was a blessing in disguise the gift you left me.
You led me to find my true self.
I spent countless hours at the nursing home,
Striking up conversation with the residents.
Laughing and smiling with them.
Quickly I realized my true passion,
The elderly.
I did not know you were going to leave me a gift,
My future career.
Our hearts mourn to this day.
But, when I go to classes everyday,
You are always with me,
Because you led me to find my passion.
I see you a little bit in every resident I interact with.
I know you will always be supporting me,
Even if you are not physically with us.
Love,
Tayler
