Blest Be

Blest Be

What cometh with the divine wind,

that skates the clear ice pond,

that clears the palm isle's haze?

That looks of fear and fierce faced love.

That darlings doves and turtle doves,

and delights young virgin moms.

That breathes love's breath upon my lung.

That startle starts my heart.

That makes love to my soul.

How dare I respond with borrowed breath,

with word from Word's own mouth

placed upon my borrowed tongue?

Yet love is that love does!

Inheritor I, with bastard credentials,

sups the honey, willing given.

My God!  My God!  Great Love!

Desiring nothing,

Loves my nothingness into Child of Thine
