bleu
Peel the layers of my skin
And I shed memories of in vain
I had taken.
Peel those layers
And I shed what I have experienced.
Cover me with sand and mud
As it were done when I was born.
Brought into this world in tears
And screams instead of words.
Cover me in a layer of what wrapped me
When I was an infant
Of inexperience.
I take away what I had and do not want
And smear myself in lieu with a new memory.
A new memory I hope to take with me to the grave
And not peel away in vain again
