Blighted Beauty

Once upon a night of old,

in a land of blood and kings.

A scheming peincess laid still and cold,

her people like puppets on strings.

Little by little she had plotted it out,

after all, it wouldn't be on her they placed the blame.

A sleeping sickness that would spread

faster than a flame.

She was a beauty, yes indeed.

A radiant sight.

Who never wished to be kissed freed,

But reign forever alight.

All across her kingdom, her poisonous plague swept.

Triumphant, the sleeping beauty forever after slept.
