Blind
I close my eyes
And I see the darkness.
I wonder,
What hides within?
Why it must hide?
My eyes are closed.
Now, I am blind.
I shut my eyes
And I see the world.
I hope
It can change.
It will change.
One eye opens,
However, I am blind.
My eyes are closed
And I try to forget
This place,
This time.
Both eyes open,
Yet, I am blind.
My eyes close again
And I want to believe,
In what I am,
In what we are.
My eyes cannot open,
Still, I am blind
My eyes close once more
And I wish I knew
The questions
I must ask
In order to learn.
But my eyes are closed,
So, I am blind.
My eyes open
And I hope for the future.
My eyes search,
But, I am blind
My eyes close
And I stop to breathe.
My eyes forever shut.
I am blind.
