Blind
Cloudy vision, nothing on your mind
new day, new dollar
running out of time
"Gotta grind for whats mine"
or so they say
unaware that it isn't just another day
For some people, they just woke up in hell
blazing sun, creepy darkness, nothing of value in their life
not even considered human anymore
Alone, cold, just an empty shell
You walk right by them
Smiling faces. Not a care in the world
All a facade
Why can't you notice them suffering?
Is it pride? money? Saving face? A girl?
We all have our reasons and they do too
That doesn't mean things should go unnoticed
Spirits broken, Environments destroyed
Communities ravaged
Nothing new
Turn a blind eye, the other cheek
to the truth
''I don't wanna know''
"It's not my business''
"I have more important things to do"
Excuses
What if it was you?
Your mom?
Your dad?
Your brother, sister, cousin... twice removed
The situation changes
It all hangs on what you do next
offer a helping hand, start a petition, million man march
boycott, sleep outside, chain yourselves to a tree,
make picket signs, save the whales, stop the violence
Just pick one and see
Don't remain blind forever
You need to be the best that you can be
For the future generations, our ancestors
For you and for me
Like I said in the beginning
It just isn't another day
Night falls, sleep calls
Time catches up to us all in
"The End"
