Blind

Love makes you blind

Blind to the abuse

To the red flags

To the signs that you should run away and never look back

If abuse is what you feel you deserve

For any reason

You’re wrong

You deserve the best love

The right love

From someone who can make you feel like a prince or a princess

Who makes you feel at home

Even if you’re thousands of miles away from home

They shouldn’t be just your lover

They should be your best friend

You can turn to them when you have nowhere else to go

And they can do the same

Love is a two way street

And if one person’s going the wrong direction

Don’t turn around and follow them

Because two wrongs don't make a right
