The blind leading

Luke 6:39 New King James Version (NKJV)

39 And He spoke a parable to them: “Can the blind lead the blind? Will they not both fall into the ditch?

 The blind leading

Dreams of yesterday seldom become reality

Hopes for the future rearrange "true" vision

Expectations drive the hunger as a fatality

As reason and understanding move into derision

Like the difference between hardwood and wicker

Longevity screams its predestined testimony

Comfort and assurance make “if” even thicker

Like a hungry family constant cries for alimony

Digging deep for nothing to grab and this with both hands

Making then a display of what is not really there

Advertise this everywhere making a mouse into an elephant

And convince about everyone that the “truth” is here

Emptiness disguised as an awarded fullness

Daydreams appointed as true possibilities

Expectations aroused as a hunger for trueness

Exaggerations undergirded in great quantities

A cult is born every day … if only by our own making

All religious qualify … if they are without Christ

Join the clan and shout as many are still waiting

To follow us in throngs … the blind leading the blind
