Blind Sided

Life in the hood Sometimes bad Sometimes good Children so misunderstood The things they could do to succeed So they can be the best they can be Why do we do the things we do Turning our heads like we don't see Children turning towards the wrong things Wishing, wanting for someone to care We don't see what they see We see what we wanna see And with that we don't do anyting To help them help them see the future they have How much better it could be Shine a light on all the children's lives We're making dark spaces to them brighter Brighter than they'll ever see Open your eyes and look at them With you and me it's possible Can't you see?
