"Blinded"

if he still loved you

he'd ask how you were doing,

he'd make sure you knew

he was lonely without you,

he'd say he missed kissing you.

if he still loved you

he'd wonder if you were hurting,

he'd look at you with loss

and he'd feel odd

not holding your hand.

if he still loved you

he would say so,

and dear,

he would ask,

if maybe you still

loved him back.
