Blinded By Your Fantasies

Location

Today I look back on what my life once was. The pain and heart break I endeavored. The tears shed by a young girl just wanting to be loved, but broken down by the words of disgrace and hate. What did I do to deserve this? I was a good girl, shy and mellow. I did not cry, I did not argue. Enslaved by his blows and lost in the sweet words. Tears continue to sneak from my eyes without my permission. Every burn and every bruise can never amount to the pain I felt when you made your decision. He could provide for you. He could hurt you. You were scared, that's why you did it, but at what cost? My life. What happened to me did not matter. I could end up in a ditch tonight and you would never see the truth in it all. He would say I probably deserved it and you would agree, blinded by your fantasies.
