Blindfolds

Problems in regards to equality are more than just black and white But how can we see that when our blindfolds of ignorance block out the light? There's still progress to be made as far as rights But we need power in numbers to win those fights People wake up thinking that all is good When a lot of our brothers and sisters are denied rights and are misunderstood We stay at home inactive without a voice when we really should, Be out on the streets causing a ruckus to make things good Things aren't the way they're supposed to be If ignorance is bliss then let me live in misery I don't put the blame necessarily on you and me But those who can must help others see So rise up and make a noise Freedom for all the girls and boys! You'll make an impact, on that I'd bet But tell me this, have u taken your blindfold off yet?
