Blindfolds

Blindfolds,

Benefit yet impairment,

Cover the eyes of one’s judgment.

Though showing beauty and pride,

Selfishness and hate it does hide.

Yet when perfect wanders in,

Feelings mutual, happiness to the brim.

Slipping through your fingers along with their feelings,

Leave you heavy hearted in all of your dealings.

Close friend one day,

Now all that has begun to fade.

“If” becomes main thought

Battles with memories you have fought.

To cover all the “if’s and memory,

One wish to be granted to me.

I wish I had a blindfold.

I wish I had a Blindfold.
