Blink
Taking my soul as your’s, without
Began when I was just a lout
Cute a happy and ineptitude
Didn’t know no rude or crude
One-track bus it takes you on
Drags you up at the break of dawn
Locked down in a room for 12 long years
But you’ve not to fear
Bright futures ahead of you!
17, still young and strong
Bright tears in the blinding sun
Reflect wide eyes
They beheaded you
Don’t blink, it’s not too long
They sucked you in you never knew
One way road
Since five years old
Blue for boys, pink for girls
Red for sluts
Wealth with pearls
Five years old you’re on the bus
Happy, giggling, smiling with trust
Turn around you’re 21
Youth is over now it’s done
A child with debt
Just like everyone
What happened?
You fell asleep on the bus
Gallavanting in illusions with everyone else
You must
Have made a mistake
This isn’t you
Tell me it’s not true
From child to senior
You’re in a rush
Apathetic, rude
Girls make you blush
But you’re timid and shy and just don’t care
So you followed the system without a hush
Without a breath you’re shoved into college
Where there’s plenty a breadth of hope and knowledge
Though you really go since everyone else
Shoved advice
Beetle and crabs and insects like lice
Corruption down your throat
Trapped in a vice
Well listen to me kid
You messed up bad
Don’t blink and don’t cheer
Right now is your yesteryear
Cause even I am trapped in this vicious turn
Like a Salem witch about to burn
There’s no oneway to live in life
Heck, you can end it now
Free with a slice
There’s a system in place with roles and roads
A train with hundreds, thousands of toads
Croak and moan and at life bemoan
Never see never know
It’s sloth that they do atone
They force you through a system of checks
Must be this
Must be that
Bills to pay the last stop’s next
So before your are trapped
In societies will
With that next text to fill
Remember don’t blink
Don’t relinquish your will
Remember, apathy’s pathetic
So don’t be apathetic
If so, you can end it now,
Don’t be forced like me like everyone else
To be forced to college
To bend and cow
Take a breath and think, that’s knowledge
Don’t let yourself go
To be rolled and smoked
Cause it’s cold when for twenty years you’ve been all stoked
But you’re 21
With bills to pay
Debt to begin and debt to end
It’s the rope that made the willow bend
You’ve ego and will to lead the way
Seduction by complacence and not by fae
So, don’t blink and don’t cheer
Right now is yesteryear
Cause even I am trapped in this vicious turn
A Salem witch about to burn
Remember, there’s no one way to live in life
So don’t be lazy
Heck, end it now
Here’s the knife
