Bliss

Alone Except for the unfamiliar mountain. Shades of blue followed As I climbed higher, Farther, steeper, longer Like ice, Slowly melting Droplets trickle Down Inching Always moving But I, Moving Was going Up. I looked, head turning to the right Beauty, peace, awe. This Is happiness. Gliding, weightless, light steps Into air Clearer, cleaner, crisper Only smells of greens Sounds of quiet Followed this same path. Controlled breathing In Out, The unchanged rhythm of my feet Pushing Off the ground To an end I hadn’t known. An end, where worries of the world – What worries?
