Bliss

Her hands are cracked,

Her spirit low,

Knowing that all she has ever touched

Will only bloom.

A sprout was watered well,

And a dove, from a wild storm's spell,

Caws--dreams are lost.

And her daughter,

Her sunshine, her light,

Leaves:

And the night is gone.
