BLISS

Dear Abigail,

I once thought I could never live without you,

And truth be told, the summers aren't quite the same,

The grass isn't isn't as green, the sky not exactly as blue,

But I persist, not in spite of you, rather because of you,

Because of all the tears, because of all the heartbreak,

Because of all the life-shattering delusional chaos,

Because of all the excruciatingly lonely nights,

That led me to where I am in this very moment,

A moment characterized by one word, and one word only:

BLISS.

And this word came about only because of you,

Because I realized what it was I gained,

And now every time I hear someone say love,

I can only shake my head and say, "NO!"

Because how could anyone know what love is,

How could anyone know what it's like,

To desparately need what it was I needed,

And what I needed was your happiness,

Was your heart to have every bit of it satisfied,

Was you not needing a single thing in the world,

Because you had everything you could already want,

For you to have, in one word:

BLISS.

And so, I persist, not in spite of you, rather because of you,

Because I know that I am the only one,

The only one to have known this feeling,

And that no one else will ever know it,

Because after all,

Who could ever feel that way,

Who could ever have loved the way I did for you,

No one,

No one will ever come close to this,

And so I thank you my dear,

For what you've done for me,

What it is you have given me:

BLISS.

Yours Truly, Yours Most Sincerely, Yours and Always Yours,

Aras
