Bliss-less Ignorance

Deep in the forest,

Ignorance lays his trap

Among the peaceful pines

Wading in the snow.

When the clamp of his device

Is triggered by a step,

It is not the jaws of pain

That snap the victim’s leg,

But the false security of comfort.

To be trapped in solitary agony with a working mind

Is nothing—no nothing compared to

The one who is kept by no boundaries

Yet prevented from understanding

By their own void excuse.
