Blissfully Ignorant; Painfully Aware

What’s so painful about awareness?

What’s so blissful  about ignorance?

Maybe it’s in the comparison.

Would you like being painfully aware

Of our world slowly dying

Or that life is unfair?

Are these things you like realizing?

Or be complete and utter ignorance

With everything going your way,

Your life one long,bright day,

Lacking all the darkness of night,

Without a single plight?

Me,well, I choose both.

I want to be aware of what’s happening

So I can try and make it better.

I want a little bit of ignorance

To always see the bright side

For,alone, one is as bad as the other

Cause if you can’t relate to

Anyone in the world

You are alone in the world.

And that’s not blissful is it?
