blisters

I have a blister the size of Texas

Caused by wearing those shoes you like so much

Shoes that no longer fit I should have learnt my lesson

But I have blisters on my hands

Texas would be jealous of

Blisters caused by holding on to you

I guess my hands grew too small for you

So when I wanted to write about love

All I could write about was blisters

Come to think of it they are the same thing

Blisters are a result of people holding on to things that don't fit

People trying to fight the truth

staring them in the face

I have seen you somewhere in my blisters

They are a result if too much heat

And I always knew you would burn me

That we would end in fire
