The blood of a scorpion
I was born in November
And charactorized as a scorpio member
For a long time i felt oh so lost
Having no freedom, that was the cost
Some people play sports, they dance or sing
Some like to draw or do reckless things
But something you should know;
Is Im not one of those
I grew up in a prison
With my dad as the warden
Locked high in my tower
To drown in my sorrow
I didnt play sports or dance or sing
I didnt get to draw or do reckless things
A robot, i stayed compliant
A mime, i stayed silent
But something was growing in me that i couldnt explain
I thought for sure i would go insane
I had nothing to call just my own
Separted from the other kids all alone
I needed something that touched my heart
Something big, and important; a peice of art
I wrote these feelings that were bottled up inside
But when i read them back it made people cry
Suddenly i didnt want to play sports, dance, or sing
I didnt want to draw or do reckless things
Because those things, they only touch the surface
I wanted to go deeper and find a purpose
Words: they touch your heart and make you feel
All kinds of things i didnt know were real
I could connect with people all around me
And maybe even make someone else happy
I could entertain, encourage and even inspire
someone to take things just a bit higher
What i was looking for all along was passion
Because in my veins runs the blood of a scorpion
