The bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

I walked out onto my verandah one day,
It was at a place I’d gone to stay.
You wouldn’t believe what blocked my way,
It was a bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

This huge beast was a hairy thing,
With great legs that would help it spring.
Not to mention the deadly sting,
Of this bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

Someone had once said to me,
“If you where to put a jar over thee.
It would make a good pet you see, ”
This bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

Now I find I am wise and strong,
And nature and I seem to get along.
But If you think it’s a pet your wrong,
It’s a bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

So I will just leave it to stay,
On my verandah and maybe just may.
I will find it will go away,
This bloody big Funnel-web Spider.

Cause I’m not cruel, that you will find,
The last thing that was on my mind.
Was to harm this spider, but I was blind,
To the bird that ate…
The bloody big Funnel-web Spider.
