Bloody Bride

A heart that’s black—

misshapen, dead

I call it quits,

I bow my head.

I tried to save

what wasn’t mine

a desperate reach,

a hurt divine.

You cut me deep

and stretched me wide

for all to see

your bloody bride.

With haughty laugh

and hellish cry,

you ravaged me,

no reason why.

Now turn your head

and let me die

your fantasy,

your bloody bride.
